I now have a Mark2 empeg, this is my old page and will not be updated as I no longer
own this unit.
This page is a little crude at the moment. I just wanted to get the
pics up. It will probably change in the future.
Here is a pic of my empeg in the component box I made.

This is another pic of the empeg between my DVD player and satellite receiver.

Here the box is empty.

Here you can see the back side. Right now only two outputs are hooked up.
I used two small isolation transformers to kill the ground loop and I don't have any
more to hook up the other outputs just yet. You can see the serial output and if I
want I can have access to the antenna in.

Here is a pic of the empeg installed in my 98 Frontier. Below it is my JVC ElKameleon CD head unit
with aux input.

Here is another pic. You can also see the serial line hanging out in the
lower right corner.

Finally you can see the JVC face goes all black and is supposed to look like nothing is there. It also
helps that you can see the empeg docking unit empty.

Here is a picture of my sled modification. I only cut out around the bumps on one side. After a few pulls it again slides
like cutting butter with a hot knife. The cuts allow the bumps on one side to flex out, releaving the
pressure on the empeg itself. It's just like the bumps on the top, which were manufactured to be flexible. The holes are my
modifications for mounting. The top two are actually not used because there was not enough clearance with the empeg in the sled.
The bottow two are tapped and the mounting screws only go deep enough to be just flush with the inside of the sled.
